Yarne, the Monks’ Summer Retreat, Concluded in Kalmykia Today

Today we are witnessing a truly historic moment. For the first time in 100 years, the Yarne summer retreat has been held in Kalmykia. For 45 days, the monks of the Central Khurul devoted themselves to meditation, the study of sacred texts, and the accumulation of merit for the benefit of all sentient beings.

Early this morning, Yarne concluded, and the major Gagye ritual was also conducted to help eliminate obstacles, purify negative karma, and create conditions for spiritual growth.
