Shajin Lama of Kalmykia and Monks of the Central Khurul Enter Summer Retreat

Dear devotees, today marks the beginning of a special period — some of the monks of our Central Khurul, together with the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia, Geshe Tenzin Choidak, have entered the “Yarne” summer retreat. This period of spiritual practice will last for a month and a half.

Therefore, the Shajin Lama will not hold personal appointments during this period. However, life at the temple will continue: morning prayer services will still be held both at the Central Khurul and at Säküsn Süm Temple. The prayer services begin at 9:00. It is worth noting that the Kangyur — the canon of the Buddha’s teachings — will be recited in the mornings at the Arshan Khurul. For devotees, this is a special opportunity to join this great practice with their hearts and minds.

An additional prayer service will also be held daily at Säküsn Süm at 18.00.
