Geshe Jagba Gyatso - The Golden Light Sutra (2026)

The opening lecture introduces the cycle on the Sutra of Golden Light. Geshe Jagba Gyatso presents Buddhist practice as inner transformation, refraining from harm, and applying a wholesome motivation in daily life, and connects the Mahayana path with Refuge and bodhichitta. He then distinguishes oral transmission, commentary, tantric empowerment, and blessing, explains how the text will be transmitted in stages, discusses its 21, 29, and 31-chapter editions, and briefly outlines the first ten chapters.
