Geshe Jagba Gyatso - The Sutra of the Wise and the Foolish (2026)

The opening lecture in the cycle on “The Sutra of the Wise and the Foolish” explains how to listen to the text with a Mahayana motivation. Geshe Jagba Gyatso gives the oral transmission of the sutra, examines the request of the gods of the Brahma realm to turn the Wheel of the Teaching, and tells the story of King Kanashinipali, who is ready to sacrifice his wealth and even those dearest to him for the Dharma. The verse received by the king is explained as a concise presentation of the Four Noble Truths.
