Teachings of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama Will Be Held in Bodhgaya
The Dalai Lama plans to bestow teachings offline. As the “Center for Tibetan Culture and Information” reports, the statement by the spiritual leader of the Tibetan people was made in the concluding part of the third day of teachings for Indian Buddhists. “As for the pandemic, at the end of this year or the beginning of the next the situation should change. I would very much like to once again [give teachings] at Tsuglagkhang, the main temple [of Dharamsala], and at the end of this year I am determined to go to Bodhgaya and teach there,” he said. “This body will last another 15–20 years,” the spiritual leader emphasized, “and I am determined to teach, teach, teach…” Bodhgaya is one of the holy places of Buddhist pilgrimage. In this place, 2,550 years ago, the founder of Buddhism, Buddha Shakyamuni, attained full awakening.
