The “Neden Chakchod” Ritual to Be Held at the Central Khurul
Tomorrow, November 4, the extended ritual “Neden Chakchod — Offering to Buddha Shakyamuni and the 16 Arhats” will be held at the Central Khurul of the Republic of Kalmykia “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni.” This ritual “Neden Chakchod — Offering to Buddha Shakyamuni and the 16 Arhats” is held on the first Wednesday of every month and will continue through July 6, 2021. During the ritual, the monks will turn to Buddha Shakyamuni and the 16 Arhats, relying on the qualities and virtues of the long life of these holy beings, with a request to pacify illnesses, to remove the harm caused by spirits and other obstructing forces, to extend the span of life, and to increase merit and virtue. The ritual is dedicated to the health, long life, and well-being of the spiritual leader of the world's Buddhists — His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama Tenzin Gyatso.
