Musical Offering to the Three Jewels Held in Tuva

We also share the warm and uplifting impressions of today from Tuva. A special and deeply moving event — the Musical Offering to the Three Jewels: the Buddha, Dharma, and Sangha — was held here at the local Buddhist temple, “Thubten Shedrub Ling.” It was more than just a concert — it was a heartfelt gift, a prayer expressed through sound and filled with reverence and love. Three Buddhist regions came together in this virtuous act to express their devotion and gratitude through music.

Kalmykia was represented in this sacred event by distinguished artists: Savr Katayev, Honored Art Worker of Kalmykia, and Bair Shavkanov, Honored Artist of the Republic of Kalmykia. Together with the combined orchestra, they presented Arkady Mandzhiev’s remarkable composition “Green Tara” to everyone gathered. Audience members remarked that as they listened to the composition, they felt the space filling with harmony and a quiet sense of joy and gratitude arising within their hearts.

The Monastic Sangha of Kalmykia is delighted that musicians from our region shared this major event with our kindred peoples and conveyed the depth of Buddhist culture to the audience through music with such care and inspiration.

May this musical offering become another step on the path toward mutual understanding and light!
