On September 2 (15th lunar day) at 9:00 the “Otch Manla Chöha” (“Menla Dochog”) ritual will be held at the Central Khurul of Kalmykia

The Medicine Buddha (Skt. “Bhaishajyaguru”) is the head of the eight Medicine Buddhas. Sometimes the Medicine Buddha is called Vaiduryaprabharaja (literally: “Lord of Lapis Lazuli Radiance”). Lapis lazuli has been considered a healing stone in various cultures for many thousands of years. In its symbolic meaning it is purity itself, that is, it purifies from any painful manifestations not only on the physical but also on the spiritual level. The practice of the Medicine Buddha possesses incredible power. Even simply repeating the name of this Buddha can protect from many illnesses. And if one recites the Bhaishajyaguru mantra daily, one can not only guard oneself in advance from many diseases, but also purify non-virtuous karma and subdue harmful spirits that cause suffering.
