The “Kind Summer” Event Was Held in Elista
Today, a charity event called “Kind Summer” was held in the center of Elista. At the statue of Buddha Shakyamuni, representatives of the “Buyn” and “Dari dobro” foundations organized two sites where everyone could take part in the event and receive sweet watermelons.
The honor of opening the event was given to the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia, the Honorary Representative of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in Russia, the CIS, and Mongolia, Telo Tulku Rinpoche. In his address, Rinpoche noted that today two foundations, “Buyn” and “Dari dobro,” are taking part in this event, whose main goal is serving society, serving and helping people, and that this is very important. In his speech, the Head of the Buddhists of Kalmykia also thanked the organizers of the event, Sanan Gelong and Elza Shamova, and the sponsors who provided the sweet berries. “I would especially like to note the volunteers who work in these organizations. I want to thank you for your work, for your help, for your support. Thank you very much,” added the Shajin Lama.
All funds raised will be directed to the “Dari dobro” charity foundation, which helps seriously ill children.
