Kalmykia’s Monastic Sangha Congratulates Tuva on Successfully Hosting the Fourth International Buddhist Forum

The voice of wisdom resounds in the heart of Tuva, where the Fourth International Buddhist Forum is taking place. For these three days, hospitable Kyzyl, the capital of the Republic of Tuva, has become a center of attraction for spiritual teachers from around the world, scholars, and everyone who shares the values of Buddhist culture.

Kalmykia’s monastic Sangha is represented at the forum by Kensur of the Central Khurul Anja Gelung (Lobsang Tsondu). During his meeting with the Kamby Lama of Tuva, Loden Sherab, he conveyed warm greetings from the Shajin Lama of Kalmykia, Geshe Tenzin Choidak, as well as a special gift — along with wishes for the forum’s fruitful work.

Anja Gelung himself emphasizes that the forum greatly benefits the development of Buddhism in Russia. At the same time, each region brings its own unique features to the forum — and this only enriches the overall picture without disrupting its well-coordinated organization. “This is a truly landmark event: it gives rise to a dialogue between tradition and modernity, strengthens ties between peoples, and allows new ideas and joint projects to grow from wise conversations. Here, Buddhism reveals itself not only as a Teaching but also as a living force that helps people hear one another, respect differences, and seek answers together to the important questions of our time.”

The program for these days is very extensive, ranging from profound philosophical discussions to vibrant cultural performances. Each of these events has its own value and makes its own contribution to the common cause.
