Four-Day Rituals Continue in Kalmykia

Today the third of the four-day rituals aimed at eliminating drought and other natural cataclysms was held in Kalmykia.

The “Sangsol” and “Tentu Yultu” rituals were held at the “Lonely Poplar” in the Tselinny district of Kalmykia. During the ritual, the monks made an offering to the deities and spirits of the locality of three white and three sweet foods and sang (fragrant herbs). The “Tentu Yultu” ritual is performed relying on the deity Vajravidarana (Dorje Namjom). These rituals are aimed both at overcoming drought and at eliminating the negative karma accumulated in this territory.

The monastic community of Kalmykia calls on all residents of the republic in these days, at home, to recite the mantra of Vajravidarana

NAMA CHANDA VAJRA KRODHAYA HULU HULU TISHTA TISHTA BHANDA BHANDA HANA HANA AMRITE HUM PHAT.”

Tomorrow, July 30, the concluding “Tentu Yultu” ritual will take place, the broadcast of which will be held on the official channel of the Central Khurul “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni” on YouTube.
