Cycle of Tantric Rituals Concludes at “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni”

A cycle of tantric rituals has concluded at “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni”. For four days, Kalmykia’s main temple followed a special rhythm.

The culmination was “Tangrak Kangso” — a ritual of gratitude to the Dharma Protectors. The monks conducted two full sessions, invoking Mahakala — the chief protector of the Central Khurul, Okn Tengr — the patroness of the Kalmyk people, as well as Nomin Khan, Bain Namsr, and Kalarupa. Offerings were made and prayers recited in gratitude to these deities for protecting the Buddha’s Teaching and helping the rituals take place year after year.

Today, as on all the previous days, the temple was filled to overflowing. Everyone who took part prayed not only for themselves — but also for peace, harmony, and the well-being of their homeland and all sentient beings. Throughout these days, the faithful sat shoulder to shoulder, and a special strength could be felt in this unity — the strength of a shared benevolent intention, capable of changing the world for the better.

  1. May all the merit that each person has accumulated over these days multiply and benefit every sentient being

And may the special atmosphere of these days linger long in our hearts — filling them with calm, faith, and the desire to do good.
