A Film Will Be Released for the Central Khurul’s 15th Anniversary

Preparations continue for the celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Central Khurul of Kalmykia.

The abbot of the khurul, Andzha Gelong, and the administrator of the khurul, Yonten Gelong, discussed the making of the anniversary film with the director of the GTRK “Kalmykia” television and radio company, Gilyana Grosul.

The film will tell the history of The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni with an emphasis on key moments. It will be necessary to select and work through a large body of archival photo and video materials, and to prepare reference materials and information to accompany the visual material.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to work together on this part. The presentation of the film is planned for November of this year.
