1000 Anti-Plague Suits for the Medical Workers of Kalmykia

As the senior administrator of the Central Khurul “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni” Yonten Gelong noted: “We want to thank all the medical workers who are now fighting the pandemic. In turn, we would like to make our contribution to the fight against the pandemic. On behalf of the monastic community of the Central Khurul of Kalmykia “The Golden Abode of Buddha Shakyamuni,” of Gelong Tengon, the abbot of the Buddhist monastery “Shedrub Choekhorling” in France, and of the families of Nikolai Tserenovich Khazikov and Antonina Nimgirovna Tserenova, we hand over 1000 protective suits to our medical workers. We hope this epidemic will soon end, but the work of doctors always has been and always will be important and necessary. Therefore, we citizens must value our doctors and also take care of them.

Today at the Central Khurul we are holding a special prayer service in gratitude to all medical workers, dedicated to the Medicine Buddha (Otch Manla). We also call on all believers to join the prayer service and pray all together for the health of all medical workers and their families, as well as for the soonest end to this pandemic.”
